Not sick of blackened hardcore/sludge/crust yet? Good, because neither am I. Get it for fifty cents on the bandcamp, you cheap bastards. Last year's Cursed Earth EP is also up there and that's good too.
So some people I knew on the internet in high school listened to this guy, but let's be real here, I never paid much attention to him until I heard that he's distributing anticapitalist propaganda with his new album. Turns out he's pretty good. This is his first album. Get it.
Remember that one post-black metal band? Yeah, they decided to play powerviolent grindcore for a bit. This is more up my alley than their other stuff, s'good shit.
Now this is cool. "Atmospheric" hardcore, but not in the way you're thinking of. There's nothing post or sludge about this, but it's not super punk influenced, nor is it a chug fest. You'll just have to listen to it for yourself. It's worth it, honest.
"Halevi, who was also pepper sprayed during the arrest, was charged with assaulting a police officer, trespassing, resisting arrest and harassment. He's currently out on bail and faces up to five years in prison for assaulting an officer."
You guys remember this shit? ID took the sound on Calculating Infinity and made it stop being so nice. Mathy, abrasive, and heavy as shit, just what you would expect from early 00s metalcore.
Grim, old school blackened death. It sounds like how you would expect it to, but not as boring. Muddy and evil, somewhere between Inquisition and Incantation.
Pigeonwing plays doom. Over the course of a single 22 minute track, they play every style of doom imaginable, from bluesy to droning to sludgey and misanthropic, but always colossal and heavy.
