Nestled comfortably in the spaces between crust, grind, and d-beat. No frills, very little of that 'originality' stuff, but executed perfectly.

One of those infrequent hippity-hoppity records I can really get in to.

Wheels Within Wheels - The Six Months of the Northern Course of the Sun

Bleak, epic, occasionally folk-tinged drone. Gets labeled black metal fairly regularly for no reason that I can understand.

Seriously. Can't stop listening to this band.

Irish label that put out a series of split seven inches featuring some excellent bands (Thou, Kowloon Walled City, Coffinworm, Fistula, Burning Love, Dephosphorus, etc). Certainly worth a look.
