Blackened, crusty hardcore. Not one original thing about this, right down to the Kurt Ballou production job and being released on Southern Lord, but it's rad as fuck.
Primal, bestial black metal this is not. Clean vocals, extended quieter sections, horns, there's a definite gothic element to all this. These guys show off black metal's classier side.
Grim, old school blackened death. It sounds like how you would expect it to, but not as boring. Muddy and evil, somewhere between Inquisition and Incantation.
